Is the Pope Polish? Well, not anymore. But this theatre company is, the cutting-edge Teatr Cogitatur direct from Katowice, Poland. Internationally accalimed, the troupe is well-known for its highly-visual, experimental and physical work, in group-created original productions. Teatr Agitatur is in Chicago through Sept. 4 with a two-play repertory. Cafe Aztec tells of alien beings on earth who are given body, soul and a chance for human life. The second show, La Luna, a tribute to the Expressionists, sounds more Spanish than Polish, but what do we know? The company performs at Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division (at Ashland); (312) 278-1500; $25.
