Vital Bridges, an agency that supplies food, nutrition, housing, case management and prevention services to HIV- and AIDS-impacted individuals throughout metropolitan Chicago, hosted a ‘Chefs & the City’ gala on Aug. 12 at The Peninsula Hotel, 108 E. Superior. It was the first such event for the organization.
The event featured more than 20 talented chefs from venues such as Butter, Opera, mk, Mon Ami Gabi, Yoshi’s Café and Tomboy. Attendees were also treated to various wines and martinis; the sounds of a Latin combo; and complimentary gifts. The gala also featured a silent auction as well as a live one that offered everything from shearling jackets to a getaway to Sonoma.
