Production has begun on location in West Hollywood, California, on Coffee Date, a feature-length film based on the award-winning short that garnered acclaim on the international gay and lesbian film circuit. Gay faves Wilson Cruz (My So-Called Life, Rent), ’80s pop icon Deborah Gibson (Beauty & The Beast, Cabaret) and Oscar-nominated Sally Kirkland (Anna, Bruce Almighty) star in the indie romantic
comedy. Coffee Date examines the life of recently divorced, mid-30’s Todd, whose life spins out of control when an unexpected friendship with a gay man (Cruz) causes everyone in his life to start thinking that he too is gay.
