Chicago Filmmakers, with the cooperation of Sundance Channel, presents a sneak-peek feature-version of the new eight-part TV series TransGeneration, produced by World of Wonder (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Party Monster). Breaking ground as an honest portrait of the lives of four undergraduate transgender students, TransGeneration (2005, 83 mins.) directed by Jeremy Simmons, follows two FTM and two MTF transsexuals as they commit to transitioning all while trying to get through college and work out issues of identity, sexuality, and acceptance at their schools. Computer science-major Gabbie and pre-law Raci (MTF), as well as neurobiology major Lucas and political activist TJ (FTM), deal with family, friends, discrimination, and university policy.
