Pianist and performer Hershey Felder held stage at the Royal George Theatre for a year in his solo George Gershwin show. Now he’s time traveled to 1848 to portray another ‘song writer,’ the great romantic composer Frederic Chopin. Dark-haired Felder has gone blond—that’s his real hair—for Monsieur Chopin, set in Chopin’s Paris salon. Felder not only performs the show, but also wrote it. The director is Joel Zwick, best know for the film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Monsieur Chopin is in an open run; Royal George; (312) 988-9000; $45.
FYI: Felder performs a one-night-only concert and sing-along of Broadway music, Nov. 12 at the Auditorium Theatre; (312) 902-1500; $29-$59.
