Openly gay Illinois state Rep. Larry McKeon, D-Chicago, will take part in the 21st Annual Gay & Lesbian Leadership Conference Nov. 17-20 in Seattle.
According to the conference’s Web site, McKeon will be a panelist in a Nov. 18 forum entitled ‘Best Practices for Legislation and Policies to Benefit LGBT Businesses, Employees and Citizens.’ Panelists from various states will offer their insight and well as fact sheets and even sample legislation. Other participants in this particular forum include Cecilia Chung, a member of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission and Deputy Director of the Transgender Law Center; and Steve Glassman, chair of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.
