Chicago filmmaker Yasmina Cadiz has been selected as one of the 12 finalists for the prestigious 2006 Walt Disney ABC/Director’s Guild of America (DGA) Directing Fellowship Program. The 12 finalists were chosen from a competitive field of hundreds.

Yasmina’s short film Mama Said received the ‘Audience Award’ at the San Francisco Latino International Film Festival and has been acquired for broadcast by PBS and Sí TV, the first English-language Latino cable network. She has been profiled in Identity and Windy City Times.
