An Indiana-based matchmaking Web site aims to match gay Christians, according to TheIndyChannel.com.
Justin Cannon, 21, is a gay Christian who created gayharmony.net. He commented to RTV6, Indianapolis, that said homosexuality and Christianity are a good fit. The senior Earlham College student studied the connection and said that he has discovered his own truth.
Cannon said he created gayharmony.net because he was having trouble locating others who shared his views. He started the site partially because some matchmaking sites, such as the popular eHarmony, do not welcome the LGBT community. In addition, Cannon is using the site as a platform to spread his views.
Despite opposition from other Christian groups, Cannon’s site is growing quickly. Gayharmony.net has nearly 400 members.
