The Chicago chapter of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) will welcome Harry Knox, director of religion and faith for the national organization, at its Federal Club Annual Dinner, scheduled for Feb. 23 at Hotel Allegro, 171 W. Randolph, 7-9 p.m.

For the past several months, Knox has been traveling around the country speaking with leaders in the faith communities about LGBT equality. The program will provide information on affirming faith communities and encourages full participation of LGBT people of faith.

Knox joined HRC in July 2005. His experience includes positions at organizations such as Freedom to Marry, the American Cancer Society and Georgia Equality. Under Knox’s leadership, Georgia Equality was successful in passing the state’s first LGBT-inclusive law, the Georgia Anti-Domestic Terrorism Act.
