One of my Podcasting idols, Madge Weinstein of yeastradio.com has lost someone very close to her. In my opinion, Madge is the most creative and innovative Podcaster out there today. She inspired me to get my act together and begin a podcast of my own. But like so many others, I only know Madge through her podcast. So this week, I offer words of comfort from one of the members of her general audience.

Madge my dear, and this too shall pass. Your light will soon continue to shine as brightly as ever. It’s hard enough in this world to find someone to love. And to be faced with letting them go… girl, it takes an entire village of support to get through that. My thoughts, my prayers, and all of my digital bits and pieces are with you.

A long while back I had to let go in a similar way. As always, music helped comfort me through that entire process. A track called ‘Even If’ by Amel Larrieux from her debut solo album ‘Infinite Possibilities’ kept me going. The words for this song still help me say good-bye.

‘Even If’ by Amel Larrieux

Never thought I would, find the

words that could

Stand up through any weather

Something I could say, you could

hear today

But stay with you forever

Just when I was losing my faith,

and I was losing my way

It came to me as clear as day

Even if I wake up and find I’m

alone

‘Cause the whole world’s turned to

stone

And my God says it’s time I take

you home

I’ll be happy going, knowing that I

loved you

Innocent and mild, you must be

heaven’s child

Sent to make me believe

On my darkest night, all you have

to do is smile

And you breathe new life into me

Just when I was losing my faith,

and losing my way

You came to me as clear as day

Even if I wake up and find I’m

alone

‘Cause the whole world’s turned to

stone

And my God says it’s time I take

you home

I’ll be happy going, knowing that I

loved you

There’ll be a time

When I’m gonna have to leave this

sweet place behind

But baby before I go, I gotta make

sure you know

‘Bout the joy that you bring to my

life

Even if I wake up and find I’m

alone

‘Cause the whole world’s turned to

stone

And my God says it’s time I take

you home

I’ll be happy going, knowing that I

loved you
