For sure, they’re not Ennis and Jack, but Edward Thomas-Herrera and Joe Steiff grew up gay and rural, and celebrate some of their experiences in solo performance pieces at Live Bait Theatre. Thomas-Herrera offers Fun While It Lasted, a tribute to Mom, Texas and the circle of life. Steiff offers Golden Corral, a bittersweet mosaic of guns, grandmothers and government cheese in a small Appalachian community where prestige is based on the size of the satellite dish or the trampoline in your front yard. Shows play in rep Fridays and Saturdays through April 8 at Live Bait, 3914 N. Clark; (773) 871-1212; $12 each, or both shows for $20.
