‘Embodied in Gender—Bending Boundaries Through Art,’ a performance event that involves theater, burlesque and music, will take place April 13 at The HotHouse, 31 E. Balbo, 6-9 p.m.
Highlights of the event will include a reading by famed writer Dorothy Allison (Bastard Out of Carolina), as well as performances by Matthew Hollis and members of Girly Q.
Performances will be followed by a discussion of bodies, culture and gender identity.
