An Affair of Honor, Babes With Blades at the Viaduct, through May 14. It’s all-femme stage combat as proper Victorian ladies plot two murders—one for propriety and one for justice—in these winning plays from the Joining Sword and Pen competition. MSB

Electra, Bohemian Ensemble at Heartland Studio, through May 14. The Greek tragedy about the girl who hates her mom and loves her bro gets an intelligent and traditional redo by the Boho crew, with a riveting performance by Elizabeth Tanner in the title role. JA

Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine, Next Theatre through May 7. Lynn Nottage’s equal-opportunity satire is so sharp that she herself ultimately chickens out, but not ’til her tale of an out-of-luck career girl skewers clichés and stereotypes with amoral precision. MSB

Fiorello, Timeline Theatre, through June 18. Timeline’s first musical is the 1959 hit about New York’s popular New Deal mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, featuring a rollicking barrel house score by Bock and Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and gentle political satire. JA
