The trial for 38-year-old Michael Jackson, a former Chicago Department of Public Health employee accused of running over a taxi driver with his own cab in 2005, is expected to begin mid-June.
The preliminary date for jury selection is June 13. According to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, the date will be finalized during a May 16 final status hearing.
Jackson has been charged with crimes in both Cook and DuPage counties. Following his arrest, Jackson was charged with allegedly attacking a nurse at Downers Grove’s Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
He has also been charged with alleged reckless conduct at DuPage County Jail.
