The Chicago Chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans at Market Days hosted an appearance by Judy Baar Topinka, the 2006 Republican gubernatorial candidate, at an informal meet and greet Aug. 5 at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted. The appearance coincided with the 25th Annual Northalsted Market Days, which took place on Halsted between Belmont (3200 North) and Addison (3600 North) this past weekend.
Her opponent—Democratic incumbent Rod Blagojevich—also appeared at the same nightspot this year, delivering a speech in March.
