The American Civil Liberties Union and Robert Greenwald (who is behind Outfoxed, Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price) present The ACLU Freedom Files, a 10-part series that tells the stories of real people in America whose civil liberties have been threatened, and how they fought back.

Produced and directed by Emmy® Award-winner Jeremy Kagan (The West Wing), the series combines interviews, documentary footage, comedy, drama, music and animation to educate viewers about critical civil-rights issues ranging from free speech to religious liberty. Focusing on issues such as women’s rights, racial profiling and gay rights, the series features real clients and the attorneys who represent them, along with well-known actors, activists and comedians, including Richard Belzer, Lewis Black, LeVar Burton, Margaret Cho, Judy Gold, Wendie Malick and Noah Wyle.

Extras include director commentary; producer and writer interviews; and additional material from Black, Cho, Gold and Warren Hutcherson.
