Once again, the Aguijon Theater Company reaches across national, cultural and sexual divides to present an important work by Latino artists little-known here in Chicago. Through Sept. 24, Aguijon is presenting renowned Argentine actors Fernando Armani and Vivian El Jaber in Y Si Te Canto Canciones de Amor. This dark comedy, by award-winning Uruguayan director Dino Armas, tells the story of Pachi and Fidel, two friends planning a joint suicide on Christmas Eve. With tenderness and humor, the play explores the protagonists’ friendship as it addresses more serious topics such as discrimination, homophobia, loneliness and frustration. Performed in Spanish. 2707 N. Laramie; 773-637-5899; $20.
