On Sept. 19, State Senator John Cullerton, D-Chicago, presented a $75,000 grant to purchase land for a new green space situated at Halsted and Roscoe, according to a press release. Jim Ludwig, co-chair of SPACE—An Urban Eden, accepted the project grant.
‘As an avid supporter of open areas throughout the state, I commend the park’s committee members on their hard work in raising the critical funds to provide open areas in our community,’ Cullerton said.Â
Cullerton presented the check to SPACE—An Urban Eden, which is overseen by NeighborSpace, at 817 W. Roscoe, the future site of the new park.
