On April 24, as part of Fashion WeekFashionBar Chicago held the 10th anniversary edition of the Trans Media Fashion Show. Bringing together influencers, media, buyers, stylists, designers and supporters for a night of merriment, fashion and community commitment.

The event took place in the FashionBar center on the third level of Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave.

This time out Zahara Bassett served as host and emcee with funds being raised for Howard Brown Health, especially its Broadway Youth Center facility.  This edition featured two brands, IAMTONYLONG and Haley from 3rd Period, as well as curated selections from Brown Elephant Resale Shops and Life is Work

Drag performer Luna Eclipse provided entertainment, with Ariana DJ providing the beats. Several local celebrities also attended, including drag artist Saphire and former America’s Next Top Model contestant and Model Tribe founder Sharaun Brown.

FashionBar Owner and Designer Tony Long said, “The Trans Media Fashion Show celebrates trans and non-binary individuals on the runway. If there’s anytime we need to be visible it’s now.”

Sponsors  for the event included Life is Work, Brown Elephant, Spirits and Spice, Puregreen, Vernita Gray Council for Philanthropy, Impulse Group, Broadway Youth Center, Paul Mitchell School and Tricoci Beauty and Hair.
