The 9 to 12 League, the longest running GLBT bowling league in the suburbs, began its 28th season at Des Plaines’ River Rand Bowl on Sept. 16. However, interested persons may still participate.
For the past decade, the league has filled all 24 lanes of the house on the third Saturday of the month. In response to this, a second league—the Nine to Twelve No-Tap League—was initiated and is beginning its third season. (In no-tap, getting nine or ten pins on the first ball counts as a strike.) The No-Tap League begins Oct. 7 and continues through May, 2007. There are still spaces available.
