Lyric Opera of Chicago takes the prize for size and prestige, yet it’s not the only opera show in town. The intimate route of chamber opera is open for others, among them the Millennium Chamber Players, who offer Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro tonight (Sept. 27) through Oct. 8 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1218 W. Addison Street. Brian von Rueden is the stage director and Robert Katkov-Trevino is the conductor (and Millennium Players’ artistic director). This new production features harpsichordist J. David Stech accompanying the recitativo secco, and sparkling 18th century costumes by Joshua Allard. Sung in Italian with a full chamber orchestra. 773-480-0770; $20 (a deal).
