Victory Gardens Theater sparked a new chapter in Chicago history Sept. 28 as more than 100 supporters gathered at sunset along the 2400 block of North Lincoln Avenue to cheer the first lighting of a new marquee above the new Victory Gardens Theater at the Biograph. The lighting of the all-new, historically accurate, fully functioning replica of Chicago’s historic Biograph Theatre marquee was an outward sign that the new, $11.3 million Victory Gardens Theater at the Biograph is open for business. Previews of the world premiere of Charles Smith’s Denmark started the next night. Photo by Liz Lauren
