Elle Decor’s Dining By Design will visit Chicago Nov. 9-11. This unique event, on behalf of DIFFA (Design Industries Foundations Fighting AIDS), has raised more than $5.5 million since the event’s inception and will take place at The Merchandise Mart.
The lavish fund-raiser brings together the best talents in the worlds of fashion, interior design, art and architecture to create three-dimensional dining installations in cities across the country.
From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Nov. 10-11, the public is invited to preview the extravagant tables; admission is $10. On Nov. 11, visitors can also enjoy a joint ticket with Treasure Hunt, a luxury home-furnishings sample sale.
The preview cocktail party is also open to the public, and will take place on Nov. 9, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $75. The Dining by Design Gala seated dinner and silent auction will be held on Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $350.
