AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) is offering the public a chance to see the very first Sunday matinee of The Color Purple at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph.
AFC has partnered with more than 45 local HIV/AIDS service organizations to purchase all of the tickets for two special shows, including that special first Sunday performance on April 22, 2007, at 2 p.m. The other show is a Friday evening performance on May 4 at 8 p.m.
AFC has planned a special reception for its donors before each show. Guests of the April 22 show who buy tickets to the AFC reception will attend a ‘Champagne Brunch’ at the Walnut Room at Macy’s on State Street, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The May 4 reception will take place at Petterino’s, 150 N. Dearborn, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $100-$375. See www.aidschicago.org for more info.
