Dreamgirls star and former American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson, was the big winner at the 26th Annual Chicago Music Awards (CMA), held Jan. 28 at the Park West Theatre, 322 W. Armitage. Hudson captured the NBC-5 Chicago Awards for 2006’s pop entertainer of the year (beating out R. Kelly and Kanye West) and best female vocalist.
