The board of directors for the Chicago Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of commerce has announced that Christina Pinson has been selected as the chamber’s new executive director. Pinson has worked with the chamber as a committee member, a board member and for the last several months has served as interim co-executive director.
In a statement, Board President Dan Logan said that ‘I am very excited to enter this new phase of the chamber’s growth and I am very confident in our decision to have Christina at the helm. Her energy and passion for our mission in the LGBT community is exactly what we were looking for.’
Pinson said, ‘I am honored to accept the board’s offer and fully step into the role of executive director. I am very excited to have the opportunity to build on my ideas [with] the chamber and develop the full potential this organization has to be a voice and a resource in our community.’
