The Oak Park art store She.Art Chicago, which celebrated all things female, is closing Feb. 23.
On that day, 6-9 p.m., the store is holding a reception for the PIN-UP postcards from around the world and there will be a silent auction. All proceeds will go to Oak Park Art League. Hours for February are Thurs.-Fri., 12-5; the store is located at 142 Harrison, and the number is 708-763-0155.
However, this may not be the end of She.Art Chicago. Owner Candy Johnson is looking for a larger space in Andersonville, Evanston or Lakeview. Anyone who knows of a 1,200-2,000-square-foot space should e-mail picadulce@sbcglobal.net.
