Steppenwolf Theatre Company will present The Diary of Anne Frank—by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, and adapted by Wendy Kesselman—April 5-June 10 at the downstairs theatre at 1650 N. Halsted.

The production is a young Jewish girl’s disturbing account of hiding with her family from the Nazis in a tiny attic in Amsterdam. A new adaptation restores deleted passages from the diary, offering a richer look into this extraordinary young woman’s coming of age.

Preview tickets (for April 5-14) are $20-$40, while passes during the production’s regular run are $20-$65. Twenty $20 tickets are available at audience services beginning at 11 a.m. on the day of each performance. Half-price rush tickets are available one hour before each show.
