The TV audience may have gotten its last ‘view’ of Rosie O’Donnell for a while.

O’Donnell quit The View a few weeks before her intended departure after calling co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck ‘cowardly’ on May 23 for not defending her against conservative pundits who said that O’Donnell compared U.S. soldiers to terrorists, according to the Associated Press. While they argued, the director used a split screen on O’Donnell and Hasselbeck—which O’Donnell said made the show resemble The Jerry Springer Show.

ABC announced on May 25 that O’Donnell would not return.

Also, in an entry on her blog, O’Donnell commented that she may never speak to Hasselbeck again. When Hasselbeck called O’Donnell’s home, she talked with O’Donnell’s partner, Kelli—but not with Rosie.

In another development, Donald Trump has actually sided with O’Donnell in her latest flap with Hasselbeck, her co-host on The View, according to PostChronicle.com. ‘I think anybody that’s against the war in Iraq is the winner of the fight, because to justify the war in Iraq…only an imbecile could do that,’ Trump said.
