Chicago-born Jasleen Gonzalez, winner of televisions America’s Next Top Model, arrived May 22, at the Rumba Supper Club, 351 W. Hubbard, in an enormous white limousine to greet television cameras, her fans and an attractive family that included her adorable baby sister.
In the elegant private dining room decorated with glittering beaded table runners, engraved ruby red glass platters and white candles, Jaslene began her slate of interviews. Jasleen posed for my camera with Sorkin, Rumba Chef Benjamin Soto, event coordinator Cesar Colon, Rumba marketing director Richard Carrier and every available handsome Rumba server until I remarked that I felt it was finally my turn to be photographed with America’s Next Top Model. I handed my camera to videographer/director Josh Figueroa and stepped next to Jasleen. The evident big glow between us is…her earring!
In the gorgeous main room, guests danced to the Rumba Band dressed in white tuxedos, led by entertainment director Wo. The attentive Rumba staff, in black tuxedos, fulfilled every drink wish to accompany the buffet.
Pretty and grateful Jaslene Gonzales has a very friendly, warm presence, and was always ready to face the camera for another pose. It was a beautiful and exciting Chicago evening.
