Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ 1782 racy French novel of competitive seduction, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, has inspired at least 10 movie adaptations and an often-performed stage version by Christopher Hampton. Now a new stage treatment gives it a contemporary setting and a tres gay spin. Dangerous, as it’s called, opens the 2007 Bailiwick Pride Series and features last year’s popular British troupe, the Shamelessboyz. Tickets are selling fast on the promise of comely British blokes in the flesh in a tale of two sophisticates who wager on which one can seduce a young virgin. (The cast features David Paisley, recently voted Britain’s sexiest man by readers of Gay Times.) Dangerous runs June 19-July 1 only; Bailiwick Repertory, 1229 W. Belmont; 773-883-1090; $25.
