Center on Halsted will honor Patrick Sheahan at its 18th Annual Human First Gala Sat., April 12, at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan.
Sheahan will be honored as the Center’s 2008 Human First recipient for his significant contributions with the LGBT community and its allies. As a significant force behind building the new Center and as the organization’s co-chair for its opening gala co-chair, among other things, he has worked among corporate, public and nonprofit sectors to build consensus around specific LGBT issues, according to a press release.
Lesbian comedian Kate Clinton will be the evening’s mistress of ceremonies. Tickets are $300 per person; $500 includes a premium seating and private reception.
