Tsamis Law Firm, P.C.—in which partner Betty Tsamis was lead counsel in Kim Dower v. King Soopers, where she successfully represented a pharmacist undergoing gender transition—has opened an office in Chicago at 203 N. LaSalle.

Dower was a pharmacist employed at a King Soopers store in Denver, Colo. She filed the charges in July 2004 after King Soopers told her she would not be allowed into the workplace dressed as a woman. Eventually, after an administrative finding against the store, King Soopers relented and allowed Dower to dress as she pleased. The case received national coverage.
