Timeline Theatre Company has revived its big hit from last season, the 1959 Broadway show Fiorello! It’s the rollicking and affectionate musical biography of beloved New York City mayor (1933-1945) Fiorello H. LaGuardia, the ‘Little Flower.’ LaGuardia rode fire trucks, read the comics to kids on the radio and campaigned in English, Italian and Yiddish. The score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (who’s next show was Fiddler on the Roof) dazzles with its catchy barrelhouse tunes and Jazz Age-flavored dance numbers. Fiorello! also takes a still-accurate look at the back rooms and back deals of American politics. Through June 15, Timeline Theatre, 615 W. Wellington; 773-281-8463; $25-$30. Photo by Lara Goetsch
