and Oven Grinder at 2112 N. Clark St. It is
something truly original to Chicago. It is dark
and woody, which gives a hint of romance. At
the same time, it is loud and fun with a full bar in
the middle of the restaurant.
The salads are HUGE so you can split one with
your sweetie. They pile on all of the ingredients
and you will have to take some home if there
are just two of you.
The pizza is like nothing you have ever had.
They put the ingredients into a pie pan and
basically put a crust of dough on top. After a trip
to the oven, the pizzas get a flip, flopping their
toppings into the now crusty crust that’s shaped
like a bowl. Mushrooms, meat sauce, cheese,
and whatever else you want create a hot tub of
yumminess. You will have some of that to take
home too.
