Women & Children First Bookstore announced the launch of a new lesbian salon series, just in time for Gay Pride month.
‘Sappho’s Salon: A Night of Provocative Lesbian Diversions,’ is a new monthly series created in hopes of providing a new space and opportunity for local lesbians and their friends to socialize.
The salon series will kick off Sat., June 21, 7-9 p.m., at 5233 N. Clark. The event will feature readings by Jolie du Pre and Kathie Bergquist, as well as live music by Carrie Lydon and Kate Rickenbacker. Refreshments will be served.
There is a $7-$9 sliding donation requested that benefits the Women’s Voices Fund and the performers.
