About Face Theatre held its 2nd Annual Flip Flop Aug. 25 at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted, and it was an unqualified success. The concept behind the event is that men perform songs written for women and vice versa. Among the many entertainers at the event—produced and hosted by Windy City Queercast’s Amy Matheny—were Amy Armstrong & Freddy Allen; Ora Jones; Stephen Rader; Tom Michael; and cast members of such productions as Wicked, Jersey Boys and Dirty Dancing.
