Blue Man Group has played the Briar Street Theatre for 11 years (as of next month) with no end in sight. When it opened, the original Blue Men themselves played in the show, but they’ve long since become corporate executives as Blue Man Group has ventured into toys, film, TV, commercials and a children’s museum exhibit, Making Waves, that is touring the country. But the show itself, originally called ‘Tubes,’ continues to be one of the most entertaining attractions in town, a highly original combination of nearly wordless clowning, music and multimedia visual spectacle that starts in the lobby of the theater.
