A coalition of LGBTQA students, parents and teachers has come together as a part of the grassroots organization, Gender JU.S.T, to ask the new Chicago Public Schools chief, Ron Huberman, how he plans to deal with the growing issue of heterosexism and violence against LGBTQA students in schools.
The group planned to hand-deliver a letter to Huberman March 4 at 3:45 p.m., asking him to attend a public forum convened by Gender JU.S.T. A gathering is slated to take place at Federal Plaza, 50 W. Adams. For more information, e-mail genderjust@gmail.com.
