When Rebecca Gilman’s Blue Surge originally debuted at the Goodman Theatre, many blue-hairs were shocked at the full-frontal male nudity and the gritty tale of two cops who arrest and then later try to help two prostitutes. Well, Blue Surge is back again in Chicago, courtesy of Eclipse Theatre Company, which is presenting the regional premiere of Gilman’s revised edition. Blue Surge plays 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays March 20-May 3 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln. Tickets are $20-$25; call 773-404-7336 or visit www.eclipsetheatre.com. Photo of Laura Coover and Kevin Scott by Scott Cooper
