Common Threads—an organization founded by famed chef Art Smith and his partner, Jesus Salgueiro, to educate children about nutrition and physical well-being and to cultivate an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking—held its fourth annual World Festival at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago, on March 23. Celebrity chefs included Table 52’s Smith, Tru’s Gale Gand, the Hearty Boys and former Top Chef Stephanie Izard. The after-party took place at The James Hotel, 55 E. Ontario.
