Around the country, groups are mobilizing for “Day of Decision” actions on the night that the California Supreme Court rules on the validity of that state’s anti-same-sex measure, Proposition 8.
In Chicago, the Gay Liberation Network will convene with other Prop 8 objectors at 7 p.m. on the night the court issues its decision, outside of the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted. The court has 90 days from the date of the hearing to decide, meaning the deadline is June 3.
More information on the overall national Day of Decision campaign can be found at www.DayofDecision.org. Downloadable posters and flyers for Chicago ‘s action can be found at the GLN home page, gayliberation.net/home.html.
