Equality Illinois and other equal marriage and pro-civil union groups are holding a community Day of Action to energize and bring together people committed to equal-marriage rights in Illinois Saturday, April 4, at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Individuals will recap the current status of the measures in the General Assembly; explain the difference between the civil-union bill and the equal-marriage bill; and offer suggestions about what can be done to make the bills a reality.
