Openly gay University of Chicago Divinity School student Matt Richards has been awarded a summer fellowship by The Beatitudes Society, according to an organizational press release. Richards will be serving at Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good in Washington, D.C.
Richards is part of the 2009 class of 20 summer fellows who will serve as interns at social-change organizations in Washington D.C.; the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago.
