In support of Common Threads’ goal to improve the availability of nourishing foods in neighborhoods and to teach children the joys of cooking, members of the Common Threads Executive Chef Board will donate 5 percent of their profits for Thursday, Aug. 6, to the nonprofit organization.
Participating chefs include Art Smith of Table 52, 52 W. Elm; Bill Kim of Urban Belly, 3053 N. California; Giuseppe Tentori of Boka, 1729 N. Halsted; Carol Watson of Milk & Honey Cafe, 1920 W. Division; and Shelley Young of The Chopping Block, 4747 N. Lincoln and The Merchandise Mart Plaza, Suite 107. Smith and his partner, Jesus Salgueiro, head Common Threads.
