The soundtrack for Hannah Free, a new lesbian feature film made in Chicago, has been nominated for five OUTMusic Awards.
The annual awards are Dec. 8 in New York City, just three days before the film has its New York City debut, Dec. 11-17 at The Quad Cinema.
Music composer for Hannah Free was Martie Marro, who also served as sound supervisor. Marro is a member of the rock band Stewed Tomatoes, which received additional nominations for their song and video “Leather Daddy.” Chicago’s Scott Free is nominated for best producer and OUTmusician of the Year. Ellen Rosner, also from Chicago, was nominated in the pop category. Jeffrey Altergott was nominated in the songwriting category.
Regarding non-Chicagoans, Kevin Aviance will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, Willi Ninja will be honored an an OUTMusic Icon and Deborah Harry will receive the OUTMusic Pillar Award.
