Aww, ain&#39t we cute?

I spent a good part of these past two weeks in sunny Palm Springs, California on a media FAM trip. Had I done my research, I might be able to tell you what the hell FAM stands for, but you can do the legwork on that. Anyhow, look for coverage in the next issue of some of my exploits, including a smashing drag show at Hunter’s Palm Springs. Yep, that Hunter’s. Apparently, it’s like McDonald’s.

I became fast Facebook friends with Jason Salzenstein of Edge Media in Boston, one of my fellow journalists on the trip. While browsing his pictures (because everybody stalks everybody else now), I came across a photo of Jason with a random drag performer in Dallas, Tex. But this was no random performer. It was none other than our very own Miss Aurora Sexton. Small world, huh?

So as a tip of the gay hat to Mr. Salzenstein, please enjoy this photo of Yours Truly with Aurora, whom I caught performing at Spin. I came to catch Lauren Jacobs on her “The Bitch Is Back” tour, but it was also a joy to see Aurora, Mercedes and Phoenix O’Hara. Is there no Gaga song that Phoenix WON’T tackle?

For the answer to that last question (See how I did that there?), come to Sidetrack on Saturday afternoon for the finals of this year’s installment of Gays Got Talent. Phoenix is just one of many talented gays vying for the top spot and a chance to be considered (fingers and toes crossed) for the actual NBC program America’s Got Talent. First Sidetrack, then America, then the world!
