The Puerto Rican Cultural Center-Vida/SIDA, 2703 W. Division, will host its fourth annual Paseo Boricua Pageant Saturday, May 22.
Pageant organizers aim to create a safe atmosphere “in which young Puerto Rican/Latino LGBTQ [individuals] can serve as role models in our community,” according to a press release. Vida/SIDA has been addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Humboldt Park community since 1988.
