Luis Antonio Galvez looks forward to the Jewish High Holidays every year, so he can sing in the choir at Temple Sholom, located along Lake Shore Drive in Lakeview, which he did last week for Yom Kippur—just as he’s done for 20 years.

Galvez, 46, even had a solo performance.

“I’ve always enjoyed singing with that choir. I really love the music,” said Galvez, who sings in Hebrew and English.

A native of Peru, Galvez also has performed in Russian, Italian, French, German and other languages.
