Alyssa’s Angels, which distributed over 300 winter coats to the needy last year, was founded in 2009 and named for 46th Ward Democrats volunteer Ron Molinaro’s infant daughter Alyssa. Alyssa passed away at 8 months of age after enduring several surgeries – including a heart transplant – to correct congenital defects. Molinaro and dozens of friends and families who followed Alyssa’s struggle chose to honor her memory with regular community service activities.

Those interested in joining Alyssa’s Angels in community service activities can contact the organization at alyssasangels@aol.com, call Ron Molinaro at 847-513-4356 or follow the group on Facebook.
